Description

Hi

I've found a serious problem on DragonFly -DEVELOPMENT compiled
yesterday that I would like to confirm that some one else can
reproduce. Playing XMMS's OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer hard locks
DragonFly no matter what. Nothing responds, I can't get out of X, I
can't change to another console, I can't drop to the debugger. Note,
it may be a very good idea to save any thing you are doing before you
try to reproduce this. I have only tested on -DEVELOPMENT as of
yesterday.

Start playing an audio file (as far as I can tell it doesn't matter
what format).
Go to the Visualization Plugins (press ctrl-v).
Select OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer.
At the bottom of the window on the right side is a button called
Enable plugin. Click that.

I had a lockup before, with this, on 1.4.3.

I also have noticed that if I an rdesktop'ed into a Windows machine and I
open a movie in Media Player, DragonFly reboots. I assume rdesktop is
trying to draw something xorg can't handle.

This "OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer" doesn't lock DragonFly anymore. Tested by me and
trevorjk.
