Avalon is currently in-transit back to the colo after being seriously
upgraded with new drives and a SSD.  It will probably be Monday before
   it is up again.

I know this is a bit of an inconvenience.  The package sets are
available on the mirrors.  Package and snapshot building will resume
next week.  Upgrading Avalon now (mid-way between releases) is a pretty
good time to do it despite the annoyance.

Something different needs to be done in the future in terms of the hostnames we ship in the makefiles, or the mirror organization, or a procedure for dns changes, or documentation of the mirrors, or something. We do not overtly document the procedures to switch mirrors for src/pkgsrc and besides, it should not have been necessary in this case. All of our users who do not know git have been unable to upgrade anything for the last week.
