Description

my 3com 3c556 fast ethernetlink XL nic is not working propely under
1.11.0-development! The machine i use a Dell C600 laptop

The problem i have is that i got is xlo: watchdog timeout, intr 3
4001/40000hz, livelocked limit engaged when the computer boots up. and when
i run dhclient it's exeting all the time.

I don't know how to fix this, but if i use a PCMIA nic instead is working
perfect. i have runned dmesg|grep intr and the things i got there is
pci_cfgintr: 0:3 INTA routed to irq3.

And i have runned vmstat -i to and it says uchi0/xl0 total 0 rate 0 on the
xl0.

Try booting without ACPI.

Related to interrupt routing. This has been observed on many early Dell laptops
(including my Insprion 4150). Disabling ACPI is an easy workaround

probably irq routing issue. will hopefully fix at some point. closing this
specific bug.
