Redmine DragonFlyBSD - Bug #1588 (Closed): shell inserts spurious newline after backquote expansionhttps://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/15882009-10-26T04:22:11Zcorecode

I came across a very strange sh bug today.

The attachment is a reduced case (original a configure script). If you
run it, sh will create a file "o". The bug is that sh will insert a
newline where it should not appear.

I tracked it down to commit 0c6fe0fc88 [1], but I am not convinced that
it actually introduced the bug. If you change MINSIZE to any other
value, the bug at hand does not show anymore. That's why I think that
this commit simply uncovered an existing bug.

Anybody have some clue what is going on?

cheers
simon

What are the defaults? I think this is due to termcap/terminfo and the
terminal disagreeing on the defaults.

When performing a mirror-copy from an old hammer version to a new
version, no directory contents appear. the pfs is basically unusable,
yet uses up disk space.

THIS IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING AND DANGEROUS. WHY IS THIS STILL NOT FIXED?

This is a great opportunity to completely destroy all your data. EXCELLENT!
DragonFlyBSD - Bug #1539 (Closed): screen reports "Must be connected to a terminal"https://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/15392009-09-28T02:07:41Zcorecode

Something changed between 2.2 and 2.4 so that the screen binary reports
"Must be connected to a terminal" when invoked from an ssh tty. We need
to preserve binary compatibility.
DragonFlyBSD - Bug #1537 (Closed): null mount does not accept -o updatehttps://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/15372009-09-28T01:45:42Zcorecode

In contrast to all other file systems, null mounts can not be updated,
using mount -u or -o update. That means that null mounts (of PFS
usually) which were initially mounted ro can not be upgraded to rw, but
have to be unmounted first.
DragonFlyBSD - Bug #1534 (Closed): mountroot prompt not workinghttps://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/15342009-09-28T01:40:02Zcorecode

In multiple recent install/upgrade/troubleshoot processes with
release2.4 cd images, the mountroot prompt did not work. Instead of
staying at the prompt, the system would directly jump into ddb, and a
"c" also would not take you back to the prompt but instead proceed to
restart the system. VERY BAD.
DragonFlyBSD - Bug #1514 (Closed): /usr/src/games/atc build warning/failurehttps://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/15142009-09-16T17:21:03Zcorecode
