You're using A8N-VM, right? One of the posts on freebsd-acpi
had a link to the following webpage and you might be interested in it:
http://people.fruitsalad.org/adridg/development.a8nvm.php

Hope that helps.

thanks, that fixes some issues... first of all it seems that my DSL is royally broken, but at least acpi loads.

hey,

about every month i'm getting a panic in pf_purge_expired_states on some
RB_* function.

I talked to dhartmei and he said that there are no problems known to
this code, except for reentrancy issues.

So I wonder: how can the RB-tree be destroyed? Probably some race
between the timer and the network. But can that be? The timer runs in
a critical section, and shouldn't the network too?

hey,

i just tried to update my box and ran into some issues:

1. when running cvsync, it does some negotiating (so the tcp connection
works) but then hangs with "sbwait". it is not possible to ^C or ^]
it, a kill -9 works though.

when i wanted to debug this, another issue popped up:
2. kgdb doesn't work anymore (with /dev/mem): it tries to read
CPU_prvdata but fails reading from 0xff800000. this somehow worked
before, and it works in 1.4-release/gdb -k. so something in the kernel
must have changed since. because of this i couldn't debug 1)

clues?

Weird. It's sitting there in contigmalloc() allocating 32 pages for the
GATT. Why this doesn't happen, I don't know.

How much RAM do you have installed?

This is my first time messing with DFly and so far I am somewhat concerned
that this bug has not been addressed. How stable is DFly? Ready for
production?

Yes, stable, though not all corner cases might be fleshed out, of course.
