Description
I have installed dfly-x86_64-5.2.1_REL.img from a USB stick and the installation went well. I chose DHCP for automatic config of the LAN card. When I boot Dragonfly, the boot process starts dhclient for er0 but then nothing else happens. It seem that dhclient is blocking the further boot process and thus no login is possible. The message "er0: watchdog timeout" occurs several times. The system still works, I can reboot using Ctrl+Alt+Del.

That same situation with dfly-x86_64-5.2.2_REL.img

Can you try 5.0 img? I imported a new version of re in 5.0->5.2 time
frame, which may cause trouble.

Can you control-C out of dhclient to continue the booting process?

I can login after a lot of Ctrl+C. But the watchdog messages still occur.

Now I have tried version 5.0.2 as well. dhclient does not block the boot process but still can't configure the LAN interface re0. I tried to configure it manually, which seemed to work, but I can't ping any host, not even my router in the local network.
When using Linux, all works well, so there is no network problem or alike. It must be a major bug in Dragonfly.

I tested static ip config as well, using 192.168.0.13, but still no success. Other BSDs like GhostBSD work fine.

The same problem still occurs using dfly-x86_64-5.4.0_REL.img

The report is old and the original issue has been resolved, dhclient is not blocking the boot process for @rowo since 5.0.2.
The rest of the issue looks like something specific to the network in which the machine lives and would need another ticket if the issue still occurs while running the latest release available.
