Bug #2460: Topology code fails, only one cpu detected

Hi all,
The box in question is an HP Proliant DL580 G2 with four 32 bit Xeon MP 2.8GHz cpus, all of which are available at POST. BIOS, disk array, and LOSI firmwares have all been updated. I did a fresh install from the 3.2.1 release cd this morning, did 'make src-create' in /usr and then built world, kernel, then installed kernel, world, and upgrade.
Here's a verbose dmesg.boot:
http://pastebin.com/FdLXWRr5
It looks like BIOS assigns 255 (broadcast local APIC id) as the local
APIC id for the BSP, which means we could not even enable BSP's local
APIC, that's why APs' detection is not even started. Is there any
BIOS option to change local APIC id?
Best Regards,
sephe
Thank you,
James
