Description

The problem I had is still happening. My workstation just restarts during
boot without panic, but this time ive let it restarting over and over and
guess what, ive GOT a panic and im in the debugger prompt. Now Im
wondering, what do you want me to do to and how do i get the information
to you from the debugger prompt?

Done, I guess you somehow want me to show you what it says, aye?

Anyway to dump this onto a disk ( no digital camera at the moment )

Not really, unless you have a second computer. If you have a
second computer you can boot the first one with the console on the
serial port (9600 8N1). A /boot.config file containing "-h" will
tell the kernel to boot with the console directed to the serial port,
and you can interact with it via a tip from the second computer.

Hey, here are the photos:

Sorry bout the quality, but its readable. Is there anyway to page the
output because I think a bit of the trace is hidden because of that. If
you'd like more photos, let me know.

I think the data I need is hidden. Try cursoring up. You hit
'scroll lock' I think, and then you should be able to cursor up. We
have to find the trace lines above the ones you took photos of,
preferably the first trace lines after you hit 'trace'. See if you
can cursor up to where you can see the 'trace' command you typed in.

Ok. I still need the first few trace lines after that point. Do
'trace', then scroll-lock and cursor up till you see the tail end
of the trap.

Ive already restarted because I needed to do work, now im running the
kernel, it still restarts, but i cant get the panic again. grrrr. Have
you got any idea about where the bug could be? If so, could you perhaps
make a patch that add more breakpoints to the code which would allow it
to panic more often?

do you still experience restarts and/or panics?

Not since I unplugged my USB scanner from the PC. I will try it again and post results
here.
