Description

The attached patch against master through

commit 04eae76fca24601808b3e06172daf7a7b89dd6fd
Date: Sat Aug 16 23:09:39 2014 +0200

unifdef(1): Update to upstream version 2.10.15.a52596a

resolves Bug #2711 "kernel i386 linux/highmem.h:34:2: error: implicit declaration of function 'PHYS_TO_DMAP'"
by only on i386 using the previous successful sf_buf code instead of the newer kmap code for x86_64. It enables
drm i915 to be built and used again on i386. For x86_64 there should be no change in functionality.

The patch has been tested for i386 on a Lenovo Ideapad netbook with Intel Atom 945 Intel integrated graphics, and on an EagleLake and an IronLake x86_64 Intel integrated graphics machines.

I'm sorry, but the proposal has been rejected.
The i386 platform is no longer supported (prior to 4.0 release)
