dfly-2.0.0-REL: pkg_info shows cdrtools-ossdvd but commands missing
Added by mk over 16 years ago.
Updated almost 16 years ago.
Description
OS: dfly-2.0.0-REL
pkg_info shows cdrtools-ossdvd but commands (mkisofs, cdrecord, etc...)
are missing.
man pages also missing.
Thanks for the report, it's fixed now so that future ISOs will have the
package contents again.

I'm guessing what we will do is roll a 2.0.1 in a month or so to
clean-up these issues.

Why wait that long?

I don't think the problem is serious enough to warrant an immediate
roll of a new sub-version, considering that the workaround is to
spend about 5 minutes in /usr/pkgsrc building and installing the
missing packages.
Besides, if we time it right maybe we can do the DVD release at
the same time as the update. It takes at least a week of messing
around to test and roll a release... sure it can be built in less
then a day, but if its going to be official it needs to be tested
too. I'd rather do both at the same time.

That's from Jul 27. Could 2.0.1 be rolled now? There have been a lot of
MFCs.

Yes, we should. This is a good time.
I will roll 2.0.1 on Wednesday. That should give people enough time
to MFC whatever they think should be MFC'd (minor things only, of course).
