:Just had a hang during high swap activity. I kept pressing ^T to see
:what is happening, suddenly the kernel said "ithread 1 unexpectedly
:rescheduled". SMP 4-way system.

The unexpectedly rescheduled messages won't cause a hang.  If it
    hangs during high paging activity see if you can get a kernel core.

The system hung. No response to ^T and no breaking into the debugger.
