xdm won't start

Description

xdm will simply dump core, supposedly, instead of running. I say supposedly
because no xdm.core is created. Screen is blacked for a short moment, then
returns to mention the fault and supposedly dump core.

Anyone else having issues with xdm?

after putting 'xdm' rc.d script into /etc/rc.d and doing rcenable xdm the system
hangs on boot now. No breaking to debugger either.

Fair enough, but that doesn't explain why xdm won't even start when run normally.

xdm is not part of base, also we're using DPorts now for a while (and not pkgsrc). Closing this.
