Description
I run a nightly cvs update on the pkgsrc tree. 2 days ago it started
giving me this message on every package.
bmake: "../../mk/../../mk/bsd.pkg.mk" line 439: Could not find
../../mk/pkginstall/bsd.pkginstall.mk
bmake: Fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
Its obvious that bsd.pkginstall.mk is missing however, why is it missing.
I check the pkgsrc-current tree and its gone there as well.
Do you suggest running pkgsrc bootstrap? If not, how to fix this?

I didn't check if something yet started, but J.Lam mentionned on
tech-pkg his wish to refactore "install" and "package" phases.

You could shift to only installing binary packages:
ftp://packages.stura.uni-rostock.de/pkgsrc-current/DragonFly/RELEASE/i386/All/
Or you could use the -r tag to pull from a known stable release of pkgsrc,
like 2006Q1. You should probably make sure all your pkgsrc apps are built
from that release, so you would need to rebuild existing packages.
I'd advise sticking with stable branches; they are specifically designed
to avoid troubles like this.
If you're going to pull from CVS on a regular basis, you should skim/read
the pkgsrc-users@netbsd.org mailing list. You also may want to report
your problem there.

Lemme guess... you forgot the -d flag in `cvs update' command, didn't you?
